Description

The Future is Connected: The Power of Trusted Networks

Scientific discovery, economic competitiveness, and societal progress increasingly depend on one thing: trusted networks. Not just connection at speed, but connection built on trust—secure, resilient, and designed to move ideas, people, and data at the scale modern research demands. This year’s CANARIE Summit brings global research, innovation, and digital infrastructure leaders together to explore how trusted, ultra‑high‑speed Research and Education (R&E) networks are powering the future.

From enabling data‑intensive science and AI‑driven discovery, to connecting researchers with global collaborators and tools, R&E networks are foundational infrastructure for Canada's economic success. They underpin breakthroughs in health, climate, advanced manufacturing, and quantum science—while also enabling talent development, innovation ecosystems, and participation across regions and institutions. As demands grow for sovereignty, security, and reliability, trusted networks are no longer optional—they are strategic assets.

Attendees can expect visionary conversations on the future of connectivity and research at scale, alongside practical sessions that explore how networks are evolving to meet rapidly changing needs. Discussions will explore partnerships across sectors, global collaboration, and how digital infrastructure investments translate into real‑world impact for institutions, researchers, and the broader economy.

Together, the Summit will offer a forward‑looking, action‑oriented perspective on how trusted networks connect Canada to opportunity—and how, by working together, we can ensure the future is not just faster, but stronger, more secure, and truly connected.
